Two new cases for David James

David James appeared for the lead defendant in a kidnapping prosecution. Darshan Rathoor pleaded guilty to conspiracy to kidnap and conspiracy to blackmail. He was sent to prison for 16 years. The case was reported in the Nottingham Post and on the Nottinghamshire Police website.

David James also appeared for the defence in the case of Matthew Jones, who stabbed a man to death and then tried to behead him. Jones was found guilty of murder but he successfully appealed his conviction. Following a retrial, Jones was convicted of murder for a second time and was handed a life sentence with a minimum term of 20 years.
