R v Angus McBeath

David James represented Angus McBeath, a drug dealer who was jailed for three years and nine months after admitting possessing Class B drugs with intent to supply.

On searching his home, police found cash of £237,035, which was subsequently seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA) 2002. Cannabis was also found during the search, as was a Range Rover valued at £70,000 and an Audi RS4 worth £77,000
