Chambers UK Bar 2026 Listings

We are delighted to have 52 individual members and eight departments ranked in the 2026 edition of Chambers UK Bar. Some of the highlights are below, and the complete listings are available on the Chambers UK Bar website.

Our Family: Children and Family: Matrimonial Finance teams are both ranked as Band 1 and comments include: “St John’s Buildings has a stellar group of individuals whose credibility and position as a key player is unquestionable.” Another adds: “The set has a strong divorce and finance presence in the North.” A further interviewee praises the set for having a “very responsive team with well-prepared and talented barristers.” Of our family clerks, one interviewee stated: “The clerks make the difference. Our Court of Protection team is “large and well-respected” and a client comments: “The clerks provide a great professional and friendly service and will look for quick solutions for last-minute availability.”

Our Clinical Negligence team is “well regarded for being able to handle all manner of clinical negligence claims.” One client also commented: “They have really helpful clerks.”

In Employment, St John’s Buildings “impresses with its barristers’ strong advocacy when representing either employees or employers at all levels of the judicial system.” One interviewee stated: “There is a wide range of expertise and personalities on offer at St John’s Buildings, which makes the instructing lawyer trust that there will be an advocate suitable for their client.” Another commented: “Some of the most proactive and responsive clerks in any chambers!”

Our Personal Injury team is “well regarded for its expert representation of both claimants and defendants in a wide range of personal injury claims.” Interviewees are also complimentary of the set’s “real niche area specialisms” and comment “St John’s Buildings provides second to none clerking.”
