Douglas was employed at the Home Office prior to being called to the Bar. Following call he completed a Master of Law degree at the University of Cambridge (commercial) and thereafter worked in the corporate and commercial litigation departments of a leading commercial law firm. Douglas has developed a practice encompassing personal injury, industrial disease, professional negligence and commercial litigation.
Regularly instructed in employers’ liability cases, occupiers liability, road traffic litigation including fraud and LVI claims and local authority claims.

Has considerable experience in insurance disputes, including contractual interpretation, coverage disputes, misrepresentation and non-disclosure issues.
