Teacher Jailed for Sexual Activity with a Pupil
Paul O’Shea prosecuted a teacher who was jailed for four years for sexual activity with a 15-year-old girl.
Bindur Maharjan, who worked at a secondary school in South Yorkshire, was found guilty by a jury of three counts of sexual activity with a child.
Judge Simon Lawler QC said despite ‘compelling evidence’ against Maharjan, he had ‘sought to blame his victim for virtually everything’.
The case received coverage in the Sheffield Star.
