SJB hosts The Bar Council
St John’s Buildings were delighted to host members of The Bar Council and their guests at a drinks reception in Manchester on 5 October 2015.
Distinguished visitors to our Chambers included Robert Neill MP, Chair of the Justice Select Committee; Robert Buckland MP, the Solicitor General; the Chairman of the Bar, Alistair MacDonald QC, and Chairman-Elect, Chantal-Aimée Doerries QC.
The Bar Council members were in Manchester during the Conservative Party Conference, following their attendance at the Labour Party Conference in Brighton. The reception was held to offer members of the local Bar the chance to air specific policy concerns and areas of interest to Council Officers.
The event was well attended by Members of St John’s Buildings and other local chambers.
