SJB Football Law Conference and Sportspersons’ Dinner
Our Football Law Conference will take place on the rooftop pitch of Hotel Football, overlooking Old Trafford, on Friday 18 November. The event is being run in conjunction with the Centre for Sports Law Research at Edge Hill University. It will bring together some of the leading sports law and governance experts from across Europe and allow those who practice in the area of sports law to hear what those involved at the very heart of game believe the future holds for football.

Following the conference, the Sportspersons’ Dinner will be a light-hearted evening of sports related stories and humour. Guests will enjoy a 3-course meal and will hear from our special guest speaker, John Hartson formerly of Arsenal, West Ham, Celtic and Wales, who will share some stories from his playing days and his insight into the modern game. Since his retirement John has enjoyed a spell as assistant coach with the Welsh international team as well as engaging in media work. He regularly appears on BBC TV and radio as well as on talkSPORT.
All profits from the Sportspersons’ Dinner will go to Headway, the Brain Injury Charity which is our chambers’ charity of the year.
