Rebecca Penfold secures suspended sentence in a life-threatening domestic stabbing
Rebecca Penfold instructed by Madeleine Corr of Shaw Graham Kersh LLP secured a suspended sentence in a complicated domestic stabbing. Their female client had limited recollection of stabbing her husband in the chest, causing serious injury having penetrated heart sac and lung.
Rebecca and Madeleine worked tenaciously together, adducing psychological opinion as to the impact of trauma and alcohol abuse, which ultimately resolved with the Crown accepting a plea contrary to s.20 OAPA.
