Rebecca Penfold represented a man facing an attempted murder charge
Rebecca Penfold, led by Rebecca Filletti of Lincoln House and instructed by Peter Haney from BLJ Solicitors, represented a young man facing an allegation of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
It was alleged that two defendants were part of a joint enterprise in their attempt to kill by shooting another male, who was armed with a machete.
Significant disclosure requests were made on the defendant’s behalf resulting in a vast amount of background material coming to light, following which the Crown accepted a plea to assisting an offender.
The defendant, who was sentenced for other matters at the same time, received a sentence of imprisonment of 40 months.
