R v Suzanne Page
Tom Sherrington prosecuted Suzanne Page, who was found guilty of criminal damage after a trial at Manchester magistrates’ court.
Ms Page had claimed she was acting in self defence when she attacked her ex-husband’s Mercedes with a golf club during a row outside her home. The pair had separated almost three years ago, after 22 years of marriage.
Ms Page was ordered to pay a fine of £180, compensation of £500 and costs of £310. A restraining order was also imposed for two years, preventing her from contacting Mr Page.
