R v Richard Burrows
Philip Clemo leading Alexa Carrier had success in the Court of Appeal where they successfully appealed against the sentence passed in the case of R v Burrows. The appeal was allowed, accepting the defence submission that totality had not been appropriately applied and that the sentence was manifestly excessive. The original sentence of 47 years was substituted with one of 38 years.
