R v Morris – Oliver King defending
Oliver King defended a man who had more than 140,000 indecent images of children on his computer. David Craig Morris, 41, admitted making and possessing indecent images of children.
The judge, Mr Recorder Paul Hopkins QC at Mold Crown Court, placed Morris on a three-year community order so that he could follow an intensive internet sex offender’s programme.
Morris was also made the subject of a lifetime sexual harm prevention order and he must register with the police as a sex offender for five years.
The judge said the internet offenders’ course would ensure greater protection for the public in the long term.
