R v Cooper-Shaw

Oliver King prosecuted Kevin Cooper-Shaw, a former care worker who was convicted of the sexual abuse of a vulnerable child at an Ellesmere Port care home between 2018-2021.  Following a seven-day trial at Chester Crown Court, the jury returned guilty verdicts on 21 of the 23 charges. Sentencing will take place on 31st May.

Cooper-Shaw has been remanded in custody and told to expect a “substantial custodial sentence”.
