R v Cook

Paul O’Shea prosecuted Steven Cook who was charged with downloading and storing indecent images. In a trial that lasted six days at Grimsby Crown Court, the jury were shown detailed technical evidence including two separate expert witnesses to deal with the defendant’s laptop and mobile phone.

The jury took just 45 minutes to convict Mr Cook, and he was sentenced to five years in prison.
