Pépin Aslett to speak at MLS AI Conference
We are delighted to announce that Pépin Aslett is to speak at Manchester Law Society’s AI Conference, alongside the Master of the Rolls.
AI Conference 2024: Transforming the Legal Landscape will discuss the latest developments and innovations in the field of artificial intelligence and how they can impact the legal profession.
Pépin Aslett is Head of the Business and Property group in Chambers. He will be a panellist in a session entitled AI Ethics, regulation and risk: how will it impact lawyers, their firms and their clients?
Sir Geoffrey Vos chairs the Ministry of Justice’s Online Procedural Rules Committee, which has a stated ambition to “oversee the creation of an end-to-end digital journey allowing people to resolve their disputes more quickly and efficiently.” This ambition matches the Master of the Roll’s determination to direct all civil work through an online portal that seeks to move the work on to mediation and other forms of dispute resolution and away from litigation and court-based resolution. These are potentially significant changes for any lawyer in the civil court system and the work has already commenced. This is a rare opportunity to hear the Master of the Rolls set out his vision and is likely to prove significant for any civil practitioner, law firm or chambers.
The AI Conference 2024: Transforming the Legal Landscape is a full day event taking place on 8th March at Manchester Hall, 36 Bridge Street, Manchester, M3 3BT. You can download the flyer and book your place here.
