Paula has 30 years’ finance experience, 20 years within Chambers but also five years working in both Private and Commercial Banking (including Securities) and a further five years working in a commercial leasing company.
Paula has prime responsibility for all finance related matters, leading on the creation and implementation of strategy driven financial objectives, budgets, relevant regulatory policies and procedures thus ensuring regulatory compliance and improving corporate financial governance. Paula has a wider interest than just the financial element of Chambers’ strategic vision and therefore also takes responsibility to contribute in other areas such as HR and general systems improvements.
She is leader of the Finance Team, with responsibilities including recruitment, development and training, appraisals, team building and motivation, disciplinary, workload assessment and management. She provides advice and management information reports to individual barristers and/or their accountants where required to assist in their understanding of specific areas of their businesses.
