RFU Disciplinary Hearing: Denny Solomona
Steven Flynn represented the RFU at a disciplinary hearing for Denny Solomona of Sale Sharks. Mr Solomona was charged with conduct prejudicial to the interests of the union or the game, contrary to RFU Rule 5.12. Samantha Hillas chaired the disciplinary panel.
Mr Solomona allegedly verbally abused a Worcester Warriors player in the Premiership match between Sale Sharks and Worcester Warriors on Saturday 24 March.
He contested the charge but was found guilty by the three-person independent panel and was given a four week suspension.
The hearing was reported widely in the national press, including the Telegraph, the Independent, the Daily Mail, the Guardian, Sky Sports, BBC Sport, the Sun and the England Rugby website. It was also covered in the NY Times.
