R v Ali Khan

December 21, 2018

Laura Marshall prosecuted a man who was given an extra seven-year prison sentence after writing to a judge and threatening to kill him.

Paul Reece, also known as Ali Khan, was originally jailed for attempting to murder his own mother in 1996. Since then he has repeatedly sent letters threatening to kill people, including police and his solicitors.

He is an inmate at Lowdham Grange in Nottinghamshire. He was already serving an indeterminate sentence for public protection and has now been given an extra seven-year prison sentence.

The case was covered on the BBC.
