Nine members appointed to Deputy District Judge
Nine St John’s Buildings members have been appointed as Deputy District Judges by the Lord Chief Justice in the March announcements.
Andrew Lawson, Fayaz Hammond, Henry Vanderpump, Jonathan Bellamy, Kathryn Hayes, Matthew Mawdsley, Robert Akers, Samantha Openshaw and Sufiyan Rana have all gained appointments.
Seven members – Andrew Lawson, Fayaz Hammond, Henry Vanderpump, Matthew Mawdsley, Robert Akers, Samantha Openshaw and Sufiyan Rana – sit on the Northern Circuit.
While two, Jonathan Bellamy and Kathryn Hayes, sit on the North Eastern Circuit.
The appointments are an exceptional outcome for St John’s Buildings and testament to the quality of the barristers and Chambers’ ability to support barristers in realising their career aspirations.
