Inquest into the deaths of TS, DS and C-L T
David Pojur appeared at the inquest concerning the murder of two young children by their mother who went on to take her own life. There was a full police investigation into the circumstances giving rise to the actions of the mother. David represented the Local Authority as an Interested Person before the Court. There was a psychological post mortem as to the mental state of the mother by Dr West. The Court gave conclusions of Unlawful Killing for both infants, following the Supreme Court case of Maughan, and suicide for the mother.
The case received significant national media coverage including The BBC, The Guardian, The Mirror, The Sun, The Daily Star and The Daily Mail.
David represents clients before the Coroner’s Courts across England and Wales and on appeal in the High Court and Court of Appeal Civil Division. He sits as a Coroner and lectures on Coronial law.
