Derbyshire County Council v Tristan Bowers

March 2, 2021

Philip Clemo prosecuted a man from Derbyshire over the sale of counterfeit goods. Tristan Bowers from Chesterfield received a six-month prison term, suspended for two years after 214 pairs of Nike trainers, almost 600 bottles of fake perfume and £1,300 in cash were found following a raid on his home by Derbyshire County Council’s trading standards team. Financial investigators also found nearly £280,000 worth of transactions had moved through his PayPal in two years. A Proceeds of Crime Act hearing is set to take place in June.
