Money Laundering Gang Receive 26 years
Ben Lawrence led Maria Brannan as they prosecuted four men who were found guilty of money laundering. Following a six-week trial Manchester Crown Court, the men received jail sentences totalling 26 years.
Choudry Yahya was jailed for 12 years after being found guilty of money laundering.
Shahbaz Ali received a nine-and-a-half year prison sentence after being found guilty of money laundering and perverting the course of justice.
Mustafa Boztas was jailed for two years and eight months after being found guilty of perverting the course of justice, and will be deported after serving his sentence.
Abid Hassan pleaded guilty to money laundering and was jailed for two years and 11 months.
