Major Press Coverage for Gohil Case

June 9, 2015

The Supreme Court hearing of Gohil v Gohil and Sharland v Sharland began on 8 June and is receiving national press coverage with articles in The Guardian, The BBC, The Express, The Independent, The Mirror, The Telegraph and ITV News.

Mrs Gohil is contesting her original divorce settlement after lower courts found her husband had deliberately hid the true extent of his wealth. She was granted permission to take her case to the Supreme Court together with Alison Sharland, another divorcee whose husband was found to have hidden substantial assets.

The case could open up a radical change in the way court handle divorce payouts in cases based on false or incomplete financial information.

Sally Harrison QC, counsel for Mrs Gohil, is quoted in The Guardian article.
