A Local Health Board v AB (April 2015)
James Gatenby represented the Local Health Board in the case of a woman, who has been subject to detention under the Mental Health Act. AB refused treatment for an aortic aneurism which had been discovered during a routine review on a heart defect. The court determined she lacked capacity to make a decision about the treatment.
