Judgment Released in the Matter of X (Children) and Y (Children)
Sir James Mumby, President of the Family Division, has handed down his judgment in the matter of X (Children) and Y (Children) (Emergency Protection Orders); two separate cases which centre around the risk of the families removing their children from the UK and taking them to Syria. The judgment states that all four children should return to the care of their parents, but with a package of protective measures in place designed to stop flight.
Karl Rowley QC, Linda Sweeney, Rhian Livesley and Simon Crabtree of St John’s Buildings represented parties within the case. Rhian Livesley was led by Jane Crowley QC, Associate Member of St John’s Buildings.
