Josh Daley secures conviction and acquittal in two Crown Court trials in one week

Josh Daley, who completed pupillage and became a full member of Chambers in October 2025, has been successful in two Crown Court trials within a week. He first prosecuted a three-day trial at Burnley Crown Court where the Defendant was charged with robbery and ABH. Josh secured a conviction relying upon S.6(1) Theft Act 1968, which required forensic analysis and cross-examination of defence witnesses.
Josh then defended a two-day trial at Preston Crown Court, where the Defendant was charged with robbery. Despite CCTV evidence, the Defendant was acquitted of robbery, with the jury returning a verdict after only 38 minutes.
