Jessica Foster secures not guilty verdicts for a Police Constable

February 18, 2026

Jessica Foster has successfully defended a police officer charged with two counts of assault on an emergency worker.

Halfway through the prosecution case, the jury returned Not Guilty verdicts having been directed to do so by the Judge. This came after Jessica’s cross-examination of the first two prosecution witnesses, who were also police officers.

The prosecution conceded that there was no longer a realistic prospect of conviction and both charges were withdrawn from the jury.

Jessica was instructed by Darren Cook of Gorvins Solicitors.
