Flintshire County Council v Russell Brown and Hyperion House
Chris Moss prosecuted a landlord who was found to be housing 107 Romanian migrants in extremely cramped conditions with risk of fire and danger to life.
John Russell Brown and his company Hyperion Investments admitted 12 charges relating to the condition of the property and the danger and risk to health of the occupants in it. He will be sentenced on 14 January.
This was one of the largest multi-agency operations of this type in the country, with all 107 migrants rehoused or sent home with help of the police, fire department, British Red Cross and Flintshire Council.
The case received coverage on the BBC and in the Mirror.
