Our Schemes
St John’s Buildings runs two Mini-Pupillage schemes each year. They take place over the Easter and Summer periods.
The summer mini-pupillage scheme is now open for applications. This is a competitive process, using the same criteria as those we apply when considering applications for pupillage, taking account of the likelihood that applicants will be at an earlier phase in their academic and/or working career.
If you wish to apply, please complete the application form and the equality and diversity monitoring form and submit them before 5pm on 20th June 2025. Please submit the completed application to david.anderson@stjohnsbuildings.co.uk or by post to David Anderson, St John’s Buildings, 24a-26 St John Street, Manchester, M3 4DJ. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.

Due to the requirement to attend and travel to court each day with a self-employed barrister, mini-pupillages are only open to people over the age of 18. Chambers is happy to make reasonable adjustments to encourage a diverse range of applicants.
