Callum Brook: Article Published in Family Law Journal
Callum Brook‘s article, Use of Force in Children’s Homes, has been published in the July 2026 issue of Family Law Journal. The article considers the use of force in children’s homes and at what frequency that force would constitute confinement. It explores the issues of consent in the circumstances and the whether a parent could be expected to consent to this particular type of state intervention.
Once AGNI (Attorney General for Northern Ireland of a devolution issue under paragraph 34 of Schedule 10 to the Northern Ireland Act 1998 [2026] UKSC 16) has been considered in the context of children, which is imminent, the issues of consent and how it impacts confinement generally will be further considered.
