Susan read Law at Liverpool John Moores University from where she graduated with a First Class Honours Degree. She was the recipient of the following academic prizes:
Moses Akiah Prize for outstanding marks in Land Law
Sir Graham Day prize for outstanding marks in Company Law
Sweet and Maxwell Prize for best performance by a student in the second year.

Susan was called to the Bar by Lincoln’s Inn in November 1998 having received a Hardwicke Scholarship from the Inn to assist with study on the BVC.
Before studying law Susan was a serving police officer in Merseyside Police Force from 1979-1987.

Susan practices exclusively in Family Law.
Susan accepts instructions in both privately and publicly funded work and Children Act work.
Susan represents local authorities, parents and children in public law matters including cases involving non-accidental injury, sexual, physical and emotional abuse and serious neglect of children.
