Hasham is undertaking a Family Law pupillage, under the supervision of Catherine Rimmer and Andrew Haggis. He looks forward to gaining experience across all areas of Family Law.
Before pupillage, Hasham practised as a County Court Advocate for over three years, conducting more than 1,500 hearings across a broad range of civil practice areas. He regularly appeared against counsel in contested hearings, including applications and small claims trials, and gained experience in drafting skeleton arguments. His work also involved working closely with fee earners and lay witnesses throughout proceedings.
Prior to becoming an advocate, Hasham worked as a paralegal at various firms in Manchester, gaining experience across multiple practice areas. This role involved close contact with clients, including vulnerable individuals. He regularly appeared in court as part of his role, developing thorough case preparation and drafting skills.
Hasham has also undertaken a variety of pro bono work. He has worked as a volunteer at the Manchester Legal Advice Centre, delivered presentations on Forced Marriage Protection Orders for the Saheli Project, and successfully represented family members in the Social Security Tribunal.
He looks forward to developing a broad and well-rounded Family Law practice during pupillage.
