David is completing a family law pupillage under the supervision of Peta Harrison.
Having worked as a family court advocate for a number of years, David brings prior experience representing all parties in a range of private children and family finance matters, including proceedings involving significant domestic abuse.
Prior to joining St John’s Buildings, David also worked as a County Court Advocate, where he has experience of over 400 hearings across multiple practice areas.
David has extensive experience in the entertainment industry, having represented Grammy Award-winning songwriters and performers, including many household names. He has overseen international concert tours and negotiated complex, high-level agreements on behalf of his clients. This experience gives him a sophisticated understanding of business and the practical commercial realities facing his clients.
Having obtained an LLB in Law with First Class Honours, David also holds a Master’s Degree in Legal Practice and was rated “very competent” at BTC. David volunteered for a number of years with community organisations including Greater Manchester Law Centre where he co-ordinated the Family Law Clinic. He was awarded Volunteer of the Month by the Bar’s Pro Bono Charity, Advocate.
