Bar Pro Bono Award Nomination

We’re delighted to announce that Ginnette Fitzharris has been nominated for the Bar Pro Bono Award 2015. The award is a celebration of an individual barrister, group of barristers, or set of chambers in recognition of outstanding commitment to pro bono work.
Ginnette was nominated by John Vater QC, who appeared alongside her in the case of Re G. Ginnette represented the mother pro bono, as she sought to revoke a Placement Order made in relation to her child, AG.
Mr Vater stated “By her pro bono work Miss Fitzharris has changed AG’s life forever, changed his mother’s life forever, and in both cases in ways neither of them will ever forget. I cannot think of a better example of pro bono work.”
Ginnette said: “I am delighted to have been nominated for the Bar Pro Bono Award. Pro Bono work is incredibly important to me personally and society generally and I am humbled to have my efforts recognised by this nomination.”
