Attendance at Royal Reception for Magna Carta

Elisabeth Cooper attended a reception at Buckingham Palace to celebrate the 800th anniversary of the sealing of Magna Carta. During the event guests had the chance to view a copy of the historic document as well as being introduced to the Queen.

Elisabeth was one of five young barristers from the Circuits selected to represent the future of the Bar.

The event was attended by foreign and domestic senior lawyers and dignitaries as well as the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, Justice Secretary Chris Grayling, the President of the Supreme Court Lord Neuberger and Sir Robert Worcester, founder of polling firm MORI and Deputy Chairman of the Magna Carta Trust.

Her Majesty is patron of the Magna Carta Trust, which is holding events to commemorate the anniversary.
