Samantha read Law at Leicester University, before completing the BVC at Manchester Metropolitan University, where she graduated top of the year. She was called to the Bar by Lincoln’s Inn in 2005. Samantha joined Chambers in 2015 having practised at Cobden House Chambers for 10 years. She practices in all areas of personal injury law and employment law and is a qualified mediator. Samantha is known for her friendly and down to earth manner. She provides clear, robust advice and is sensitive to the concerns and needs of her clients.

    Samantha’s personal injury practice spans all areas of personal injury claims including employer’s liability, disease work, public liability and road traffic related matters. She regularly appears in the fast and multi-track. She conducts all types of hearings from pre-action applications through to trial and costs hearings.

    Samantha has particular expertise in employment law and tribunal advocacy, appearing for businesses, public bodies and private individuals. Her experience provides a balanced, pragmatic and thorough approach to litigation. Her practice covers all aspects of employment law and she regularly appears in multi-day actions. She undertakes both contentious and non-contentious drafting including pleadings, employment contracts and settlement agreements.

  • Company and Commercial

    Samantha has experience of commercial law, particularly where there is an overlap with employment law. Notable cases include successfully defending a two-day trial over a partnership dispute and advising in relation to a shareholder dispute, which settled for over £200,000.

    Samantha is an accredited mediator able to undertake mediation in all types of civil and employment proceedings. She also regularly acts as a representative in mediations and settlement discussions, including judicial mediations.

    Given the increasing importance of mediation, particularly in the field of employment law, Samantha understands the benefits of such a process in assisting parties to resolve disputes without recourse to litigation.
