Lucy Marshall was called to the Bar in 2005 (Middle Temple) and undertook her pupillage at Goldsmith Chambers before joining St John’s Buildings. She had previously achieved an LLB in Law and French Law at the University of Manchester and studied at the University of Burgundy in Dijon, France.

Lucy practises in all areas of family law, with a particular interest in financial matters including advising on settlement terms, cases involving complex pension valuation, and variation and enforcement of financial orders. Lucy also has experience dealing with unmarried former co-habitants under TOLATA 1996 and financial proceedings under Schedule One of the Children Act 1989.
Lucy also has a strong public law practice representing local authorities, parents, children, grandparents and intervening parties at all stages of proceedings. She has experience with cases involving serious non-accidental injuries, complex medical evidence, sexual abuse, severe neglect, domestic violence, learning difficulties and substance misuse.
Lucy has experience in private law proceedings including cases involving serious findings of fact, implacable hostility and international relocation cases and jurisdictional issues.
