R v O’Neill

May 3, 2018

Mark Connor successfully prosecuted Patrick O’Neill who was charged with the historic abuse and rape of vulnerable children in the Ellesmere Port area. O’Neill had denied 26 sexual offences against three girls and three boys said to have been committed between his teenage years and 30s. But a jury convicted him on all counts following a trial at Chester Crown Court.

O’Neill was sentenced to 25 years plus an extended licence of one year.

The case was covered in the Chester Standard.
