Scott joined St John’s Buildings in May 2024 as the Senior Clerk in Liverpool, bringing 30 years of experience as a barristers’ clerk. Prior to joining SJB he was the Chief Executive/Senior Clerk at St Mary’s Chambers in Nottingham for 17 years.
Scott is a member of the Bar Council Remuneration Committee and Regulatory Group, and the Institute of Barristers’ Clerks’ Management Committee. He assists the Family Law Bar Association with complex fee issues and works with the Legal Aid Agency on improving processes and guidance on High Cost fees.
When not working Scott likes to cook and entertain, attend live music events at small venues, and avoid exercise other than meandering dog walks around Sefton Park. He moved to Liverpool in 2021 to be closer to family and friends.
