Samantha Hillas appointed Queen’s Counsel

We are delighted to announce that Samantha Hillas has been appointed Queen’s Counsel in the new Silk appointments announced by the Lord Chancellor today. The appointment was made by Her Majesty The Queen on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, Robert Buckland QC, MP, following consideration by the independent Queen’s Counsel Selection Panel. Samantha’s appointment strengthens our exceptional Family – Finance group.

This appointment recognises Samantha’s long-standing reputation as a specialist dealing with financial remedy work. Samantha has been consistently ranked in Chambers & Partners and Legal 500, with recent editions stating “Her attention to detail and knowledge of the law is incredible. She has excellent advocacy skills and can deal with any issues thrown at her in court” and “A ferocious advocate, who is great with clients”.

Samantha is a Fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers.

Samantha will formally become a Silk when she makes her declaration before the Lord Chancellor at the ceremony at Westminster Hall on 16 March 2020.
