Marketing & Communications Assistant, Manchester

Salary range: £19,000 – £24,000 p.a. depending on experience

Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5:30pm

St John’s Buildings is one of the largest barristers’ chambers in the country, with four sites across the North and circa 240 barristers working across all areas of law. We provide services to a wide range of commercial, public sector and private clients and are known for our excellent standard of service, approachability and agility.

We are looking for a highly organised and enthusiastic Marketing & Communications Assistant to join our small marketing team based in Manchester City Centre.  Working closely with the Marketing & Communications Manager, you will support a range of marketing activities for our legal practice including online seminar promotion, support and administration; website updates; branding of marketing collateral; assisting with events both internally and externally; social media communications and general marketing and administrative support.  You will also be involved with activities to gather and present data to demonstrate the impact of marketing activity.

If you have a passion for marketing, strong IT skills (including using MS Teams and/or Zoom for seminars, MS Excel and Word), and experience of working with CRM data and communications, we’d like to hear from you. Good organisation skills, an adaptable approach, a keen eye for detail and excellent written and verbal communication ability are essential.  Experience of working in a marketing capacity in the legal or other professional service sector will be an advantage, but is not essential.  You will need to be a confident and friendly communicator to help out at marketing events and will be committed to a career in marketing (perhaps with a full or part marketing qualification).
