Junior Clerk, Liverpool
Salary range: £18,000 – £23,000 per annum, depending on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 6pm (1-hour break)
St John’s Buildings employs c.75 staff members who provide diary management, business development, fee collection and other administrative and practice support to around 240 barristers across our four sites in Manchester, Sheffield, Liverpool and Chester.
We have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and ambitious, experienced but junior-level barristers’ clerk to join our Clerking Team based in Liverpool City Centre. With over 40 clerking roles in Chambers, we offer excellent career prospects, in a friendly, team-oriented environment.
You will have experience of day-to-day barristers’ clerking activities including: recording briefs and instructions, checking court listings, diary management, chasing and checking briefs, dealing with telephone enquiries and bookings and working with diary management software, such as MLC or LEX. Experience of fee negotiation and billing will be a definite advantage.
Essentially the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a professional, client focused approach, excellent team working and communication skills, strong basic IT skills, high attention to detail, the ability to follow protocols and a genuine interest in a career as a barristers’ clerk.
