Facilities and Housekeeping Assistant / Manchester

Hours: 8:30am – 2pm, Monday to Friday

Salary range: c. £12,000 p.a. depending on skills and experience.  Excellent benefits package including pension, private healthcare and cash plan.

St Johns Buildings is one of the largest barristers’ chambers in the country and we pride ourselves on providing an excellent standard of client services and care.  We have beautiful premises on St John Street in Manchester, which we seek to maintain and present to a high standard.

The Facilities and Housekeeping Assistant will play an important role in ensuring that the house is kept clean, tidy and presentable at all times and that our meetings, conferences and events are appropriately catered and serviced to the same high standard.

The key attributes required are: a keen eye for detail with high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and tidiness, a strong customer care ethos, a friendly, professional and approachable communication style, and to be a strong team worker who is adaptable and enjoys helping others. It would be an advantage to have experience of working in a similar role and/or in a professional services environment, but these are not essential if you have transferable skills and experience.  Being comfortable with conference technology (e.g. presentation screens, conference phones) would also be an advantage, but training will be provided.

To apply for the role, please send your completed application and equal opportunities forms (available on our website at www.stjohnsbuildings.co.uk) by post or email to human.resources@stjohnsbuildings.co.uk. For an informal discussion about the role, contact Diane Lees on 0161 214 1500.

Prompt applications are encouraged as we will close the job for applications as soon as we have a suitable shortlist of candidates for interview.

We positively encourage applications from all sections of the community and operate an equal opportunities approach.
