Louise was called to the Bar by Middle Temple in 2006. She practises family law and is a child law specialist. Louise has extensive training and teaching experience and lectures at both Lancaster University on the LLB and at the University of Central Lancashire on the LPC.

Family - Children
Louise specialises in family law with a particular emphasis on child protection. She is instructed by Local Authorities and parents in care proceedings. She has appeared in court hearings in all levels of court and has experience of complex public law matters including non accidental injuries, parent murder and the representation of clients who lack capacity. Louise is experienced in advising and representing Local Authorities in child protection matters.
Louise has experience of delivering legal training to solicitors, social workers and medics. She is also an Associate Lecturer on the LLB undergraduate programme for Lancaster University and teaches on the Family Law elective on the LPC at the University of Central Lancashire. In addition to her legal qualifications Louise has completed training in family mediation and holds a teaching qualification.
Louise joined chambers in 2008 following her pupillage which she undertook at 4 Brick Court in London. During her pupillage she was seconded to Mr Stephen Cobb QC and his junior Mr Stuart Fuller who represented the Appellants in Re B  UKHL 35 in May 2008. She has carried out extensive research into the wording of section 31 of the Children Act 1989 including an in-depth analysis of the command papers and the research papers which formed the background to the Children Act 1989.
