Craig Lowe is a criminal specialist.

Craig has a balanced practice of serious prosecution and defence crime involving serious sexual offences, violence, fraud, drugs and regulatory work.

He practises throughout the North of England and beyond.

Cases

R v Darren Halliday (2023): Defended a man who was charged with six counts of sexual activity with a child. Halliday was was sentenced to seven years in prison, made subject to a restraining order and an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order. The case was covered in the Grimsby Telegraph. Craig was instructed by The Johnson Partnership.

R v Colin Shreeve (2023): Prosecuted a man who was jailed for four years and ten months having pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual activity with a child. The case was covered in the Grimsby Telegraph.

R v Jason Holmes (2022): Prosecuted a man who tried to strangle and rape a woman at the scene of a motorway crash. The case was covered on ITV and reported in the Daily Mail, the Daily Star and the Sheffield Star.

R v Bedford (2017): Prosecuted a man who admitted sexual offences against a girl under the age of two and was jailed for 14 years. The case received national coverage on the BBCITV and in the Metro.

R v Riley & Others (2013): Multi-handed large scale drug importation conspiracy.

R v David Sammons (2013): Prosecuted allegations of rape, child abduction etc involving an emotional damaged, vulnerable and unco-operative 14-year-old complainant.

R v Wilson (2013): Allegations, including rape, against the defendant’s daughter, step-daughters and granddaughter.

R v Kwasniewski and Others (2013): Seven-handed case involving numerous allegations of breaches of various sections of the Environmental Protection legislation.

R v Roe (2011): Represented a defendant with autism, learning difficulties and who had an IQ of 65, who was assisted by an intermediary in his trial and faced charges of rape of his sister, niece and two nephews.

R v Pham and Cross (2010): Prosecuted a multi-handed large scale conspiracy to cultivate cannabis case involving investigations by six separate police forces.

R v Scott (2006): Junior Counsel in a manslaughter and arson case in which a juvenile with mental health problems killed his young sister.

R v Wilkes (2006): Represented a businessman implicated in multiple breaches of Environmental Protection Act.

R v Chatterton & Others (2004): Leading Junior in a 26-defendant large-scale prison mutiny trial.

R v Pirie (2004): Junior Counsel in causation complex and expert rich baby shake murder.

R v Clarke (2004): Recidivist rapist violently assaulted and raped a prostitute.

R v Large & Others (2004): Case involved a complex car ringing conspiracy and deceptions of numerous local and national businesses.

R v Cooper & Others (2003): Leading Junior in a case involving a two-year police investigation into a multi-million pound drug supply network.

R v Mair (2001): Junior Counsel in a care home abuse trial involving many complainants.
