JUNIOR CRIMINAL CLERK, MANCHESTER
Salary range: £14,500 – £19,000 p.a. depending on skills and experience.
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 6pm

We have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and ambitious junior level barristers’ clerk to join our Criminal Clerking Team, based in Manchester City Centre. With over 40 clerking roles in Chambers, we offer excellent career prospects, in a friendly, team-oriented environment.
Ideally we are looking for someone with experience of day-to-day clerking activities including: recording briefs and instructions, checking court listings, diary management, chasing and checking briefs, dealing with telephone enquiries and bookings and working with diary management software, such as MLC or LEX. While experience of clerking criminal practice would be an advantage, we welcome applications from clerks from any practice area.
Essentially the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a professional, client focused approach, excellent team working and communication skills, strong basic IT skills, high attention to detail, the ability to follow protocols and a genuine interest in a career as a barristers clerk.
