Apprentice Office Assistant, Sheffield

Chambers is looking to take on a new Apprentice Office Assistant based at our Sheffield Chambers. The role of the Apprentice Office Assistant is to provide effective and efficient clerking and administrative support to the clerks and members of Chambers. This general administration role involves ensuring post and other correspondence is recorded and delivered in an accurate and timely manner and assisting with other general tasks that arise.

In addition you will be educated to GCSE standard with 5 GCSEs grade C or above (or equivalent) – including Maths and English Language.

Demonstrable experience of administration and customer care in a professional services environment will be an advantage.

The role is based at St Johns Buildings, 7 Leopold Street, Sheffield, S1 2GY. Hours of work are Monday – Friday 8.30 am – 6.00 pm.

This employment will be linked to a full intermediate level apprenticeship in Business and Administration.  Details of the framework are as follows:

  •  Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Business & Administration
  • Level 1 Functional Skills in English, Maths and ICT
  • Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Business & Administration

Successful apprentices may have the opportunity to progress to become a barristers’ clerk and enjoy greater responsibility and career development.
